Warning: the article you are about to read is extremely biased. Nevertheless it offers some interesting viewpoints. This being a momentous event, it’s necessary to discuss the fallout. Christopher Hitchens, outspoken (to put it lightly) as usual, makes a very good point in saying that Qaddafi should have been taken to the Hague and put on trial. It is no secret that in states of war, people want retribution. However, as I myself have pointed out in other posts (namely regarding South Sudan), this rarely results in a peaceful start or a clean new beginning. Nevertheless, Qaddafi is finally gone and as Hitchens says, the new Libya is here.
