Should Foreign Citizens Be Allowed to Donate to Campaign Funds?

According to a three-judge panel in Washington, the Supreme Court has set precedents banning non-citizens from participating in any part of the democratic self-government of the United States, including donating to candidates in campaign races. The panel seemed to view this as a black and white issue where the precedent states that such an act is illegal. But what do you think? Should this practice be allowed? At the very least, it’s interesting to think about the effects of allowing donations from non-citizens for this next presidential election-would it change the outcome of the race?
